The other day one of my readers mentioned that they were having trouble falling asleep at night, and they wondered if it could have anything to do with the fact that they had just started the HCG Diet.
Actually, this is a pretty common occurrence among HCG Dieters. This is because the HCG Hormone can often give you more energy, especially when it is mixed or taken with the B12 Vitamin.
And while some may find that it takes longer than usual to fall asleep, there are those people who have a more difficult time staying asleep.
But now that you know the HCG Diet is the culprit, the question is what can you do about it. Here are some little tricks that have helped me...

- Winding down before you go to bed. Turn off the TV, get in your pajamas and dim the lights about an hour before going to bed. This will tell your mind that it is time for bed.
- Take a hot bath. Taking a hot bath about a half hour before bedtime, will help to get you more relaxed.
- Reading a book. After you are all ready for bed, try reading a book in a semi-dark room. Just be sure that you DO NOT read it in bed.
- Make sure that you aren't watching TV, talking on the phone or using your laptop while in bed. This way when you do lay down in bed, your body and mind will know that it's time to go to sleep.
- Take a short walk. If you haven't been doing this already, try taking a short walk about 2 hours before you go to bed.
