Blood Sugar And The HCG Diet

It's always important to keep an eye your blood sugar levels, especially on the HCG Diet. This is because your blood sugar usually drops while on the diet.

Here is what I found out about your blood sugar on the HCG Diet.

From Pounds And Inches -

"Towards the end of a course or when a patient has nearly reached his normal weight it occasionally happens that the blood sugar drops below normal, and we have even seen this in patients who had an abnormally high blood sugar before treatment.

Such an attack of hypoglycemia is almost identical with the one seen in diabetics who have taken too much insulin. The attack comes on suddenly; there is the same feeling of light-headedness, weakness in the knees, trembling, and unmotivated sweating.

But under HCG, hypoglycemia does not produce any feeling of hunger. All these symptoms are almost instantly relieved by taking two heaped teaspoons of sugar. In the course of treatment the possibility of such an attack is explained to those patients who are in a phase in which a drop in blood sugar may occur.

They are instructed to keep sugar or glucose sweets handy, particularly when driving a car. They are also told to watch the effect of taking sugar very carefully and report the following day.

This is important, because anxious patients to whom such an attack has been explained are apt to take sugar unnecessarily, in which case it inevitably produces a gain in weight and does not dramatically relieve the symptoms for which it was taken, proving that these were not due to hypoglycemia.

Some patients mistake the effects of emotional stress for hypoglycemia. When the symptoms are quickly relieved by sugar this is proof that they were indeed due to an abnormal lowering of the blood sugar, and in that case there is no increase in the weight on the following day.

We always suggest that sugar be taken if the patient is in doubt. Once such an attack has been relieved with sugar we have never seen it recur on the immediately subsequent days, and only very rarely does a patient have two such attacks separated by several days during a course of treatment.

In patients who have not eaten sufficiently during the first two days of treatment we sometimes give sugar when the minor symptoms usually felt during the first there days of treatment continue beyond that time, and in some cases this has seemed to speed up the euphoria ordinarily associated with the HCG method."

So make sure that this is something you are paying close attention to, especially if you have ever had any problems with your blood sugar in the past.

Cheese On The HCG Diet - Is It Allowed?

Is cheese one of the items on the HCG 500 Calorie Diet Menu? Anyone who has read the HCG Diet Protocol knows that there are a lot of different rules to follow. On top of it all, you have to remember which foods you can and cannot eat. However, what people usually remember more than anything is that list of foods you can have is much smaller than the foods that you can't. Still, it can be quite a task to memorize that list in such a short period of time. I guess this is why people always ask my wife and I which foods are allowed during Phase 2 of the HCG Weight Loss Diet - One of the more common foods we are asked about is cheese. Now I love cheese probably more than the average person, so I can definitely understand why people are hoping and praying that it's listed on the HCG Diet Menu. And this brings us to the question we are here to answer... Can You Have Cheese On The HCG 500 Calorie Diet? I think deep down inside most of you already knew that the answer ...

If you were to Google the term " HCG Diet Dangers ", you would get a bunch of sites trying to sell you something related to the HCG Diet. A lot of the websites that you will run into trying to find the answer to this question, are nothing more than marketers using fear tactics to get you to buy their product. So try not to get pulled in by this sort of thing. The truth is there are some HCG Diet Dangers, but they're probably not as bad as you think. In fact, some of them are human errors that make this method of weight loss the most dangerous. I'm talking about things like getting an infection from not cleaning your syringe. Therefore, the danger can be eliminated if you can only remember to use alcohol pads...

How The Hypothalamus Works

What the Hypothalamus Gland does and why it's so important to fix it... The Hypothalamus Gland is located directly below the Thalamus which is at the center of the brain. It controls many automatic functions of the human body. So this means that it can tell the autonomic nervous system what to do. The Hypothalamus also controls pituitary output by distributing certain chemicals to the pituitary's frontal lobe. To put it more simply, the Hypothalamus Gland organizes and controls many complex emotions, feelings and moods. It also controls all motivational states including hunger, appetite and food intake, and everything to do with the concept of pleasure including satisfaction, comfort and creative activities. The neurons in the Hypothalamus produce a number of Hypothalamic Neurotransmitters which relay information and instruction to all parts of the brain and body, directly influencing the Pituitary Gland. This is where the Growth Hormone, Thyroid Hormone Releasi...
